Getting Started

Generate an API Key and Token

In Trello, visit Power-Ups Admin to get your API Key, then generate a Token authorizing that key against your account.

Connect the credentials in Shanone

Ask your agent to do something with Trello (e.g. “create a card in my Sprint board”), or add the API Key and Token proactively from Integrations in the Shanone dashboard. Both are required.

Retry your request

Once connected, shanone_execute_tool calls for trello_* tools will succeed.

Troubleshooting

Trello requires both the API Key and a Token authorized against that key — a Key alone only allows very limited public reads. Regenerate the Token from Power-Ups Admin if it’s expired or was revoked.
Custom fields must be set in a separate call — use trello_set_card_customfield after creating the card, referencing the field ID from trello_get_board_customfields.
By default search is scoped broadly but respects board membership — ensure the connected account is a member of the board, and check shanone_get_tool_schema for trello_search to see how to scope by board/list explicitly.
Trello archives rather than permanently deletes most objects by default (lists, boards) — archived items still exist and can be restored, which is expected behavior, not a bug.
