Getting Started

Get an Apollo API key

In Apollo, go to Settings > Integrations > API Keys and generate a key.

Connect in Shanone

Ask your agent to do something with Apollo (e.g. “search for VP of Engineering contacts at Series B startups”), or add the API key proactively from Integrations in the Shanone dashboard.

Retry your request

Once the key is stored, shanone_execute_tool calls for apollo_* tools will succeed.

Troubleshooting

Apollo’s enrichment coverage varies by how much public/first-party data exists for that person or company — not every field will be populated for every record.
Check apollo_get_api_usage for rate limit or credit exhaustion — Apollo enforces per-plan limits on search, enrichment, and bulk write operations.
Confirm the target sequence is active with apollo_activate_sequence — contacts added to a paused or draft sequence won’t be emailed until it’s activated.
