Shanone’s Microsoft Teams integration gives your agent 97 tools covering teams/channels, chats and messaging, meetings and calendar, files, tabs, and analytics — enough to run most collaboration workflows without opening the Teams client.

Getting Started

Connect via OAuth

Ask your agent to do something with Teams (e.g. “post a summary in the #general channel”), or connect proactively from Integrations in the Shanone dashboard.

Authorize the Microsoft account

Approve Microsoft’s OAuth consent screen for the account whose teams and chats you want Shanone to access.

Retry your request

Once connected, shanone_execute_tool calls for teams_* tools will succeed.

Troubleshooting

Transcription and recording must be enabled for the specific meeting (often an organizer-side setting), and processing can take time after the meeting ends — retry after a delay if it was just enabled.
Plain teams_send_channel_message only supports basic text — use teams_send_html_message for formatted content, teams_send_card_message for rich cards, or teams_send_message_with_mention to properly @mention users (a raw @name in text won’t notify anyone).
Most write operations on teams/members require admin-level Microsoft Graph permissions on the connected account, beyond what a regular member has — check with your Microsoft 365 admin if these consistently fail.
