Getting Started

Connect via OAuth

Ask your agent to do something with Sheets (e.g. “add a chart to my Q3 budget sheet”), or connect proactively from Integrations in the Shanone dashboard.

Authorize the Google account

Approve Google’s OAuth consent screen for the account whose Sheets Shanone should access.

Retry your request

Once connected, shanone_execute_tool calls for google_sheets_* tools will succeed.

Troubleshooting

Double-check the A1 notation range (e.g. Sheet1!B2:D10) — a missing sheet name defaults to the first sheet, which is a common source of accidental overwrites.
Most structural tools (charts, tables, banding, protected ranges) require sheetId (a numeric ID) rather than the sheet name — call google_sheets_get_spreadsheet or google_sheets_get_sheet_names first to resolve it.
Batch tools like google_sheets_batch_update_values process each range independently; check the response for per-range errors rather than assuming an overall success means every range succeeded.
