Getting Started

Connect via OAuth

Ask your agent to do something with Drive (e.g. “list the files in my Shared Reports folder”), or connect proactively from Integrations in the Shanone dashboard.

Authorize the Google account

Approve Google’s OAuth consent screen for the account whose Drive Shanone should access.

Retry your request

Once connected, shanone_execute_tool calls for google_drive_* tools will succeed.

Troubleshooting

The file ID is likely wrong — copy it from the Drive URL (the long string between /d/ and the next /) rather than typing it manually, and confirm the connected account actually has access to that file.
Native Google Workspace files (Docs, Sheets, Slides) aren’t downloadable as raw bytes — use google_drive_export_file instead, which converts them to a format like PDF or DOCX first.
Push notifications require a publicly reachable HTTPS webhook URL configured as the channel address; this is a project-level setup step outside Shanone. Use google_drive_list_changes for polling instead if you don’t need push notifications.
Check the role and type fields sent to google_drive_create_permission — Drive’s permission model distinguishes user, group, domain, and anyone, and each has a different set of valid roles.
