# Trello

Shanone's Trello integration gives your agent 113 tools covering boards, lists, cards, checklists, labels, custom fields, comments, and organization/member management — enough to run Trello-based project workflows entirely from an agent.

## Getting Started

    In Trello, visit **[Power-Ups Admin](https://trello.com/power-ups/admin)** to get your API Key, then generate a Token authorizing that key against your account.

    Ask your agent to do something with Trello (e.g. "create a card in my Sprint board"), or add the API Key and Token proactively from **Integrations** in the Shanone dashboard. Both are required.

    Once connected, `shanone_execute_tool` calls for `trello_*` tools will succeed.

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="Every call fails with an unauthorized error">
    Trello requires both the API Key and a Token authorized against that key — a Key alone only allows very limited public reads. Regenerate the Token from **Power-Ups Admin** if it's expired or was revoked.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="trello_create_card succeeds but custom fields aren't set">
    Custom fields must be set in a separate call — use `trello_set_card_customfield` after creating the card, referencing the field ID from `trello_get_board_customfields`.

  <Accordion title="trello_search doesn't find a card I know exists">
    By default search is scoped broadly but respects board membership — ensure the connected account is a member of the board, and check `shanone_get_tool_schema` for `trello_search` to see how to scope by board/list explicitly.

  <Accordion title="trello_archive_list or trello_delete_card doesn't fully remove content">
    Trello archives rather than permanently deletes most objects by default (lists, boards) — archived items still exist and can be restored, which is expected behavior, not a bug.
