# Microsoft Teams

> Manage teams, channels, chats, meetings, and files — messaging, reactions, and calendar integration

# Microsoft Teams

Shanone's Microsoft Teams integration gives your agent 97 tools covering teams/channels, chats and messaging, meetings and calendar, files, tabs, and analytics — enough to run most collaboration workflows without opening the Teams client.

## Getting Started

    Ask your agent to do something with Teams (e.g. "post a summary in the #general channel"), or connect proactively from **Integrations** in the Shanone dashboard.

    Approve Microsoft's OAuth consent screen for the account whose teams and chats you want Shanone to access.

  <Step title="Retry your request">
    Once connected, `shanone_execute_tool` calls for `teams_*` tools will succeed.

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="teams_get_meeting_transcript or teams_get_meeting_recording returns nothing">
    Transcription and recording must be enabled for the specific meeting (often an organizer-side setting), and processing can take time after the meeting ends — retry after a delay if it was just enabled.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="teams_send_channel_message succeeds but the message doesn't look right">
    Plain `teams_send_channel_message` only supports basic text — use `teams_send_html_message` for formatted content, `teams_send_card_message` for rich cards, or `teams_send_message_with_mention` to properly @mention users (a raw `@name` in text won't notify anyone).

  <Accordion title="teams_create_team or teams_add_member fails with a permissions error">
    Most write operations on teams/members require admin-level Microsoft Graph permissions on the connected account, beyond what a regular member has — check with your Microsoft 365 admin if these consistently fail.
