# Supabase

> Manage Supabase projects, databases, storage, auth, and edge functions — plus run SQL and PostgREST queries

# Supabase

Shanone's Supabase integration gives your agent 120 tools spanning the Management API (projects, branches, backups, network security) and direct data access (SQL execution, table records, storage, edge functions) — enough to manage a Supabase project's infrastructure and its data from the same agent.

## Getting Started

    Ask your agent to do something with Supabase (e.g. "list my Supabase projects" or "run this SQL against my database"), or connect proactively from **Integrations** in the Shanone dashboard.

    Approve Supabase's OAuth consent screen for the organization whose projects you want Shanone to manage.

  <Step title="Retry your request">
    Once connected, `shanone_execute_tool` calls for `supabase_*` tools will succeed.

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="supabase_execute_sql fails but supabase_execute_sql_readonly works">
    Write-capable SQL execution requires the connected role to have write privileges on the target project — use the readonly variant for analysis-only queries to avoid accidental writes.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="supabase_create_branch or supabase_push_branch fails">
    Branching requires preview branching to be enabled on the project first — call `supabase_enable_preview_branching` before creating branches.

  <Accordion title="supabase_restore_backup or supabase_restore_pitr doesn't apply immediately">
    Restores are long-running operations performed asynchronously by Supabase's infrastructure — check `supabase_get_project_health` afterward rather than expecting an instant result.

  <Accordion title="supabase_upload_file or supabase_download_file fails on a bucket I can see">
    Storage bucket access depends on the bucket's public/private setting and RLS policies — a bucket being visible via `supabase_list_buckets` doesn't guarantee the connected role can read/write its objects.
