# Runway

Shanone's Runway integration gives your agent 43 tools for [Runway](https://runwayml.com)'s generative media stack — video generation/editing, image generation and upscaling, voice/speech tools, AI avatars, and pre-built creative "recipes" for common marketing tasks.

## Getting Started

    Generate a key from the [Runway Developer Portal](https://dev.runwayml.com/).

  <Step title="Add the key in Shanone">
    Go to **Integrations** in the Shanone dashboard, select Runway, and paste in the key (`key_...`).

  <Step title="Retry your request">
    Once saved, `shanone_execute_tool` calls for `runway_*` tools will succeed.

## Troubleshooting

    Generation tasks run asynchronously — use `runway_wait_for_task` or poll `runway_get_task` with the returned task ID rather than expecting synchronous output.

  <Accordion title="A recipe tool (runway_recipe_*) fails with a missing asset error">
    Recipes chain multiple generation steps and expect specific input assets (e.g. a product image URL); check `shanone_get_tool_schema` for the exact required fields before calling.

  <Accordion title="runway_create_avatar_video doesn't match the avatar's configured voice">
    Confirm the avatar was fully created and its voice binding saved via `runway_get_avatar` before generating video — avatars created moments earlier may not have propagated yet.

    Check `runway_get_organization_usage` to see current consumption, and `runway_cancel_task` for any stuck or no-longer-needed generation jobs.
