# Outlook

Shanone's Outlook integration gives your agent 134 tools covering mail, calendar/scheduling, contacts, to-do tasks, and the Microsoft Graph admin features (mail rules, delta sync, focused inbox, room booking) most integrations skip.

## Getting Started

    Ask your agent to do something with Outlook (e.g. "find my next meeting with the design team"), or connect proactively from **Integrations** in the Shanone dashboard.

    Approve Microsoft's OAuth consent screen for the mailbox and calendar Shanone should act on.

    Once connected, `shanone_execute_tool` calls for `outlook_*` tools will succeed.

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="outlook_send_mail fails with an invalid recipient error">
    Check the exact payload shape with `shanone_get_tool_schema` for `outlook_send_mail` — recipients are nested objects (`{"emailAddress": {"address": "..."}}`), not flat email strings.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="outlook_get_mail_delta or outlook_get_calendar_delta returns a resync-required error">
    Delta tokens expire after extended inactivity. Call the delta tool without a token to restart the sync, then persist the new `@odata.deltaLink` for subsequent calls.

  <Accordion title="outlook_create_recurring_event creates the series but individual instances won't update">
    Use `outlook_list_event_instances` to find the specific instance's ID, then `outlook_update_event_instance` rather than `outlook_update_event` on the series master.

    Room availability depends on the room list/mailbox actually being provisioned as a resource mailbox in Microsoft 365 — confirm with `outlook_list_room_lists` that the expected room list exists first.
