# Mem0

> Give your agent persistent, searchable long-term memory — add, search, and manage memories and the entities they reference

# Mem0

Shanone's Mem0 integration gives your agent 14 tools for storing, searching, and managing long-term memory across conversations, plus the entities and event status behind async memory operations.

## Getting Started

    Sign up at [app.mem0.ai](https://app.mem0.ai) and copy your API key from the dashboard.

    Go to **Integrations > Mem0** in the Shanone dashboard and paste the API key in.

  <Step title="Retry your request">
    Once saved, `shanone_execute_tool` calls for `mem0_*` tools will succeed.

## Available Tools

Shanone provides **14 tools** for Mem0, organized into these categories:

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="mem0_search_memories returns nothing relevant">
    Search quality depends on how memories were added — pass enough context (user\_id, agent\_id, or run\_id) at add time so memories are scoped correctly for later retrieval.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Batch operations report success but a memory wasn't affected">
    `mem0_get_event_status` can confirm whether a batch operation fully completed; some batch add/update calls process asynchronously and may need a short delay before the result is final.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Deleted an entity but its memories still show up">
    `mem0_delete_entity` removes the entity record itself; use `mem0_delete_all_memories` scoped to that entity's user/agent ID if you also need its associated memories gone.
