# Google Tasks

> Manage task lists and tasks — create, complete, reopen, move, and clear completed items

# Google Tasks

Shanone's Google Tasks integration gives your agent 14 tools for managing task lists and the tasks within them, including completion state, ordering/nesting via move, and bulk clearing of finished items.

## Getting Started

    Ask your agent to do something with Tasks (e.g. "add 'renew domain' to my Admin list due Friday"), or connect proactively from **Integrations** in the Shanone dashboard.

    Approve Google's OAuth consent screen for the account whose Tasks Shanone should access.

    Once connected, `shanone_execute_tool` calls for `google_tasks_*` tools will succeed.

## Troubleshooting

  <Accordion title="google_tasks_move_task doesn't seem to reorder as expected">
    `google_tasks_move_task` takes optional `parent` and `previous` parameters to control nesting and position — omitting both moves the task to the top level at the end of the list rather than leaving its position unchanged.

  <Accordion title="Completed tasks still show up in google_tasks_list_tasks">
    By default, `google_tasks_list_tasks` includes completed tasks; pass `show_completed=False` (check the exact parameter name with `shanone_get_tool_schema`) to filter them out, or use `google_tasks_clear_completed_tasks` to remove them from the list entirely.

    Due dates must be RFC 3339 timestamps (date-only values are accepted but time-of-day is ignored by the Tasks UI) — double-check the format if a task shows up without the expected due date.
