# Google Calendar

# Google Calendar

Shanone's Google Calendar integration gives your agent 49 tools covering standard calendar/event management plus higher-level smart-scheduling utilities (free-slot finding, batch event creation, meeting-time suggestions) most integrations don't offer.

## Getting Started

    Ask your agent to do something with Calendar (e.g. "find a free 30-minute slot with Alex this week"), or connect proactively from **Integrations** in the Shanone dashboard.

    Approve Google's OAuth consent screen for the calendar you want Shanone to act on.

  <Step title="Retry your request">
    Once connected, `shanone_execute_tool` calls for `google_calendar_*` tools will succeed.

## Troubleshooting

    Check the `sendUpdates` behavior in the tool schema with `shanone_get_tool_schema` — notifications are opt-in per call and default settings can vary by calendar.

  <Accordion title="google_calendar_find_free_slots misses busy time from a shared calendar">
    Pass all relevant calendar IDs explicitly, or use `google_calendar_list_events_from_all_calendars` first to confirm which calendars the connected account actually has visibility into.

  <Accordion title="google_calendar_watch_events or watch_calendar_list stops delivering updates">
    Push notification channels expire — call `google_calendar_stop_channel` on the old channel and re-issue a new `watch_*` call rather than assuming a channel is permanent.
