# Figma

Shanone's Figma integration gives your agent 39 tools for reading design files, managing comments and dev handoff resources, and inspecting components, styles, and variables across files and teams.

## Getting Started

<Steps>
  <Step title="Connect via OAuth">
    Ask your agent to do something with Figma (e.g. "summarize the comments on this design file"), or connect proactively from **Integrations** in the Shanone dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize the Figma account">
    Approve Figma's OAuth consent screen for the account/team you want Shanone to act on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Retry your request">
    Once connected, `shanone_execute_tool` calls for `figma_*` tools will succeed.
  </Step>
</Steps>

  </Card>

  <Card title="Design system audits" icon="palette">
    List team components, component sets, and styles to check consistency across files

  <Card title="Change notifications" icon="bell">
    Register a webhook to be notified when a file is updated or a new comment is posted

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="figma_get_file returns a huge, slow response for large files">
    Use `figma_get_file_nodes` with specific node IDs instead of fetching the entire file tree when you only need a subset of the design.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="figma_export_images returns an empty or expired URL">
    Exported image URLs are temporary — re-call `figma_export_images` to get a fresh URL rather than caching the one from a previous response.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Team-level tools (figma_get_team_projects, figma_get_team_components) return nothing">
    These require a valid team ID and the connected account must be a member of that team; verify the team ID with `figma_get_me` or the Figma web UI first.
  </Accordion>
